SINCEN Imes-icore 350i Glass Ceramic Milling Burs

SINCEN Imes-icore 350i compatible glass ceramic milling burs are diamond-coated rotary instruments for wet milling of lithium disilicate (IPS e.max), feldspathic ceramic, Vita Suprinity, and Celtra Duo. These burs are designed for chairside or lab production of single crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers, and anterior bridges on the Imes-icore 350i. The series includes three configurations with φ6mm smooth collet-clamped shanks.

Application

The φ0.6 mm and φ1.0 mm head diameters suit fine finishing, margin definition, and detailed occlusal anatomy. The φ2.5 mm head diameter suits bulk material removal and roughing passes.

Limitations

These burs are not for milling metals, composites, or dry milling of glass ceramics, and are not compatible with machines that require threaded shanks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What shank type do these burs use?

All three variants use a φ6mm smooth shank for collet clamping in the Imes-icore 350i. They do not use a threaded shank.

Are these burs compatible with Sirona CEREC MC, MC X, or MC XL machines?

No. CEREC MC, MC X, and MC XL machines require a proprietary M3.5 threaded shank, not a φ6mm smooth shank. These burs are only for the Imes-icore 350i.

Which materials can be milled with these burs?

Lithium disilicate (IPS e.max), feldspathic ceramic, Vita Suprinity, and Celtra Duo. They are intended for wet milling of glass ceramic restorations.

How do I choose between the φ0.6, φ1.0, and φ2.5 mm head diameters?

Use the smaller diameters for fine occlusal anatomy, margin definition, and interdental areas. The larger φ2.5 mm head removes material faster in broader areas. Selection depends on the restoration geometry and CAM strategy.

What are the signs that a bur should be replaced?

Look for visible loss of diamond coating, chipping or rounding of the cutting edges, increased milling time, rougher surface finish on the workpiece, or higher spindle load. Replace when these signs appear.

Are these burs intended for dry milling?

No. These burs are for wet milling only. Dry milling is not recommended for these glass ceramic materials with this bur series.

Are these OEM Imes-icore burs or aftermarket?

These are SINCEN aftermarket burs manufactured to fit the Imes-icore 350i collet system. They are not OEM Imes-icore products.
