Application

The φ2.0mm and φ1.5mm heads are suited for roughing and bulk material removal in large frameworks and bridges. The φ1.0mm and φ0.6mm heads are suited for finishing, fine margin definition, and detailed occlusal anatomy.

Limitations

These burs are not for wet milling, metals, glass ceramics, fully sintered zirconia, or any machine requiring a threaded shank.

Frequently Asked Questions

What shank type do these burs use?

All four configurations use a φ4mm smooth shank (collet-clamped). They do not have threaded shanks and are not compatible with machines requiring M3.5 or M1.8 proprietary threading.

Are these burs compatible with Sirona CEREC MC, MC X, or MC XL?

No. Sirona CEREC MC, MC X, and MC XL use a proprietary M3.5 threaded shank, and CEREC 3 uses M1.8. These SINCEN burs have a φ4mm smooth shank for BESMED and Ideal machines only.

Which head diameter should I choose for which milling stage?

Use the φ2.0mm or φ1.5mm for bulk material removal and larger framework areas. The φ1.0mm handles intermediate detail and margin refinement. The φ0.6mm is for fine occlusal anatomy, tight embrasures, and delicate margin areas.

Can these burs mill wet zirconia or other materials?

These burs are specified for dry milling of pre-sintered and multi-layer zirconia only. They are not intended for wet milling, metals, glass ceramics, or fully sintered zirconia.

How do I know when to replace the bur?

Watch for visible edge rounding, increased cutting resistance, surface chipping on milled restorations, or loss of fine detail in margins and occlusal anatomy. Replace when these signs appear—do not rely on a fixed unit count.

Are these OEM burs or aftermarket?

These are aftermarket burs manufactured by SINCEN Dental, designed to fit BESMED and Ideal milling machines with φ4mm collet clamping. They are not produced by the machine manufacturer.
